Dear "H" (Found in comments section of blog and worked in Swaziland for 3 years)
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind, insightful comments. It means a lot to me that you took the time to leave me a few "words of wisdom".
I don't know you, but you are obviously a humanitarian whose random act of kindness has warmed my heart and also created a few more tears in my eyes.
Thank you

Hi I've been following your blog after Sandy Ford directed me to it a few months ago.

I have a number of friends who have gone to various parts of Africa and other '3rd world' countries because they felt that that's where God was sending them for various lengths of time. Some are there for the long term, some for short terms; one spent a year as a midwife in Zambia.

The way you write suggests that your initial reasons for going were not the same as theirs. I'm wondering why you went to Africa and why Swaziland in particular? And were your reasons for going fulfilled?

Oh, and apparently it takes about a month back for each year away to readjust to the culture back 'home'. You'll get there in time, but you'll probably have part of you that 'lives' in both places for good.

Many blessings on you and your work.
